Project: Tunley Moss Stables, Wrightington, Lancashire. Eight horse stable property with schooling paddock, £70K project value, 12 weeks project duration, completed in 1986

Construction work included:

• Groundworks; foundations and drainage
• M&E installations
• Concrete hard-standing to all stable fronts
• Single storey brickwork with pitched roof to form stables
• Rainwater goods
• Timber frame stable doors
• Painting to all timber framework
• Flood lighting
• Sand paddock
• Fencing, landscaping and access roads

Project roles and responsibilities included:

• Assessing planning and approval application
• Completing full measured surveys of the existing property and land
• Producing building plans for full planning and building regulation approval
• Preparing bills of quantities and tender packages for subcontractor pricing
• Estimating elements of work
• Procuring all subcontractors, materials, labour and plant
• Programming and coordinating building works
