Project: Tunley Moss Stables, Wrightington, Lancashire. Eight horse stable property with schooling paddock, £70K project value, 12 weeks project duration, completed in 1986
Construction work included:
- Groundworks; foundations and drainage
- M&E installations
- Concrete hard-standing to all stable fronts
- Single storey brickwork with pitched roof to form stables
- Rainwater goods
- Timber frame stable doors
- Painting to all timber framework
- Flood lighting
- Sand paddock
- Fencing, landscaping and access roads
Project roles and responsibilities included:
- Assessing planning and approval application
- Completing full measured surveys of the existing property and land
- Producing building plans for full planning and building regulation approval
- Preparing bills of quantities and tender packages for subcontractor pricing
- Estimating elements of work
- Procuring all subcontractors, materials, labour and plant
- Programming and coordinating building works
