Project: Skyline Central Apartments, Manchester. 249 residential apartment development, £90 million project value, 146 weeks programme duration, completed in 2007.

Setting a new standard for residential living in Manchester, Skyline Central was a new build development of luxury apartments built in two blocks, including a range of 5 star facilities and services making the property on of Manchester’s most iconic, desirable locations. Facilities for residents include a health spa, gymnasium, 18th floor swimming pool and zen garden.

Project roles and responsibilities included:

• Compiling take-offs, material schedules and subcontractor enquiries
• Reviewing design drawings and conducting value engineering exercises
• Sourcing new subcontractors and suppliers
• Evaluating and negotiating subcontractor tenders
• Procuring and preparing order documentation for materials, subcontractors, labour and plant
• Producing programmes or work and cash flow statements
• Preparing and agreeing subcontractor contra-charge claims
• Preparing subcontract valuations, payment certificates and agreeing final accounts
• Producing project cost reports
