Project: Lumiere Apartments, Manchester. 138 residential apartment development, £42 million project value, 104 weeks programme duration, completed in 2005

The Lumiere Apartments was a new build development providing contemporary luxury living. These stunning apartments boast dramatic water gardens, sculptures and floating terraces outside and each apartment is immaculately decorated and fully furnished. The building also boasts a full fitted gymnasium for residents use.

Project roles and responsibilities included:

• Compiling take-offs, material schedules and subcontractor enquiries
• Reviewing design drawings and conducting value engineering exercises
• Sourcing new subcontractors and suppliers
• Evaluating and negotiating subcontractor tenders
• Procuring and preparing order documentation for materials, subcontractors, labour and plant
• Producing programmes of work and cash flow statements
• Preparing and agreeing subcontractor contra-charge claims
• Preparing subcontract valuations, payment certificates and agreeing final accounts
• Producing project cost reports
